Cake and Cake pops : Irene's Dessert Table

A year before relocating - The decision was already made for a home based business.
Online, I spotted a Cake Expo in the San Diego  area - I strongly felt the pull to attend. My goal was to meet as many people as I can, introduce myself and hand out my information. Carmen, was one of those beautiful, creative persons that I met that  day. She was there displaying a Tablescape.  We connected  and  exchanged our contact  information. This was the beginning of an amazing and supportive  friendship with  many creative collaborations and more new friends.
Pictured above and below is just one event Carmen designed.

Cake : buttercream frosting with fondant details, the bear and baby blocks made from ricekrispies and covered in fondant.

Beautiful momma to be.

When I was asked if I would be interested in testing recipes and baking as well as decorating cakes for a new book-  Without hesitation I said "YES" . this was one of my highlights in my sugar art life. Not only was it a fun experience I met the most amazing people whom are now friends.

One of the cakes featured in the book. Each cake represented a cake from the show.

I was able to write publish a few cake decorating tips as well as baking tips.

It was so much fun to be part of the book signing her in Temecula local book store.
